Will Young the esteemed "winner" of something called Pop Idols. A competition showing the process of sculpting a pop idol. I know no more, I didn't watch it.

And now my rant starts in earnest.
Todays Pop is bland crap. All feeling and passion has been leeched away by comercialism. Will Young is a product of a search for a cardboard cut out that is inoffensive to everyone (and, thus being inoffensive, I find him objectionable). Add to this the fact that The Mass has no memory for music and you have the reason I am up in arms.

The Doors. Classic music. Yes MUSIC. Morrison had heart. He sang as if he meant it. Will Young probably has no clue about the lyrics, otherwise he would have not sounded like some shit lounge singer. Anyway, to cut a long rant short. And again in the words of Bill Hicks.

"Since when has mediocrety been a good role model?"

Bring back passion. Bring back meaning. Bring back talent.
