Fun Stuff
Fark, a news-ish site and grat for speed photoshop competitions
X-Entertainment. NOT a porn site, just sounds like one. These guys write about the phenomena of the 80's. They update it most weeks.
The Center for the Easily Amused. Says it all really. I'm usually found in the chatrooms.
White Wolf. Home of Vampire: The Eternal Struggle
Jack Chick Jack chick is a CHRISTIAN. He believes that everyone should burn on the cross. I doubt that this is a joke site, but I hope I am wrong.
Online Comics
Dork Tower an online comic about geeks. Written by John Kovalic (artist behind Munchkin and many other games)
PVP Online. Computer Geeks. The reality
Writhe and Shine They say it's set in New Orleans, but I have this horrible feeling that the writer has been stalking me
Bulletin Boards
Livejournal The big Blog, you probably know what it is.
The Muskrat Central Message Board the home of the Armies of Dorkness
People
Deranged.. Well if he ever gets off his arse and actually starts writing stuff
D-Lish, an Essex Goth FOAF, photographer and apparently and interesting person. Will say more about her once I get to know her.
Offline Games
Looney Labs, Creators of Fluxx. Fluxx is a fantastic game where the rules and goals constantly change. It won an American MENSA award for one of the 5 best new games of 1999.
Cheapass Games Games are essentialy bits of cardboard, dice and a few pawns. Cheapass just sells the board, card and rules. As a result these addictive games are less than £10 (expensive is around the £7 mark)
Pitfield Brewery One of the best beer shops in London. Sells brewing kits and shedloads of different beers, including quite a few kinds of beers for herbivores.
The Campaign for Real Ale These guys work to promote Beer. Not the crappy lager that most people drink, but the traditionally brewed stuff. They have also campaigned for full pints. (Currently if your glass is less than 95% liquid you can ask for a top-up. Lined glasses would mean 100% must be beer and you get free head)
Fullers Try their ESB, London Pride and Honeydew.
Youngs Brewery They make one of the best Stouts around- Double Chocolate Stout, and Waggledance a rather drinkable honey beer.
Sheperd Neame Brewers of Bishops Finger, Spitfire and a good seasonal Christmas Ale.
Wetherspoons If you want somewhere cheap and quiet and with good beer, generally you can't go wrong with one of these.
The Eerie Pub Co. Overly Gothic, concealed toilets and mismatched music (except on certain nights) A Pub company with a sense of fun. The standard menu has just been updated, but the food's usually good. Surprisingly inexpensive for Central London as well.
