Corpsie was not born, but created. Originally known as case number 12271, he was among the first experiments into genetic splicing. He is the result of one of the more controversial experiments involving a taste of wormwood and some wet velvet. Ian sucessfully escaped from the secure holding facility at the tender age of four, taking refuge in the sewers of London. During that time he was befriended by a giant, humanoid rat who taught him the art of Recthu-Bnai (commonly known as Goth Tai-chi. Through careful application of makeup Corpsie can pass as almost human, but prefers to be seen at night, where his strange appearance has some form of credibility.
