Basic stances.

Basic Stance 1 (Figure 1.) Stand with legs slightly apart. Place left arm horizontally, close to but not touching the chest. The left hand should be closed in a loose fist. Bring right arm around vertically, so that your left wrist is almost touching your right elbow. The right hand should be almost completely open, but with the little finger pointing towards you and all other fingers pointing slightly towards the palm. This is known as the right position. Reverse the arms to get the left position.

Basic stance 2. (Figure 2.) The Crucifix. This stance is used whenever the words "Cross" or "Crucify" are used in a song. As the image shows you simply stand still, arms outstretched.
